Back to the knees…..

 

The knee joints bear the weight of the body but have no strong muscles for support ,therefore it is vulnerable to injuries, sprains and osteoarthritis . As a yoga therapist ,  I can help you to stabilize the knee without “locking”, strengthen the quadriceps and ligaments surrounding the knee. Learn the importance of keeping the connective tissue and muscles stretched to ensure knee will fully straighten and another important factor is how to avoid hyper extension of the knee joint.

A word of advice : Knees love to the legs to be straight but never never FORCE LOCK THE KNEES !
